Sarah McLachlan sung with the Barenaked Ladies
God rest ye merry gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our sav ior, Was born upon this day
To save us all from Satan’s power,
when we were gone astray
Ohhhh tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy
Ohhhh tidings of comfort and joy,

From God our heavenly Fa ther, This blessed angel came
And unto certain shep herd’s,
Brought tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born, The Son of God by name
Ohhhh tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy
Ohhhh tidings of comfort and joy

Ohhh star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal, beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us (to thy) perfect light
We three kings of orient are,
Field and fountain Moor and mountain,
following yonder star
Born a king of Bethlehem’s plain,
Gold I bring to crown him again
King forever ceasing never,
Over us all to reign
Ohhh star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal, beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us (to thy) perfect light

God rest ye merry gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay
(Repeat)
